I know it's a formal. I knew in my head I needed long. But we fell in love. Me and the dress. Right there in that moment. I guess you can say it was love at first sight because it definitely was NOT $30. But I bought it anyway. Then I told Trey what I bought. He asked some of the girls there, and The Dress got The Shaft. He said it's "damn near white glove" formal. Me and The Dress had a few emotional parting words and I walked back into the store to return her for this:
Please give me your honest opinions. Don't tell me you love it just to be nice. I'm going lookingnext weekend again with my mom (who told me I look like a caterpillar in it.. ha) so it's not a biggie to return it. Clearly, I'm not that much in love with it if I'm going out looking for something better. It's my "just in case" dress. Who wants to go to their first military formal in a "just in case" dress??? Side note: Trey loves it. I guess that should count for something...
2nd side note: I have an addiction to Red Bull. Today was my first day without it in probably.. ehhh... 2 months. Tomorrow will be my real test. More on that later.

Second dress is a lot more appropriate for a military ball. I love the neckline!!!
I really like the green dress! Great color and the overall shape and flow of the dress is fabilous! I think it's a keeper
I'm glad you went with the second. The short one would probably have stuck out because more than 90 percent will wear long ones to the ball. I like it! I love green!
I'm not really a fan of ANY dresses. For me its more about wearing one that I am comfortable in. Is it comfortable?
And the Red Bull... I'm with you. Today is my first day without. Not because I wanted it to be but because I was running late. Maybe I'll try to kick the habit too. But could I still drink Red Bull and Greygoose?
i like the dress okay. it looks nice on you, but i know there is a more fabulous dress out there :) one that will accentuate that great bod you have, instead of draping it! gotta show those curves off :) keep looking!
and if i wasnt going to the beach next weekend, i would totally go dress shopping with you.
have you painted the purple room yet?
Corky, the first one looks like something my daughter would wear to her 8th grade dance and the 2nd, NO, makes you look like you gained all of the weight back you lost, now I thought we discussed the Neiman Marcus dress, end of discussion. Based on those 2 dress picks I am afraid for you to leave me!
I really like the green dress! :)
Okay, I'm not an officers wife but I do know that those balls are evening gown type events so (even though the above dress has sizzle)I'm glad you decided not to wear it to this particular gathering;) I love the above blue dress too though!
