A few random thoughts before my hiatus

My husband finally *is jussst about done* with training!! Yesterday he graduated from his FA BOLC 3 class and I could not be any more proud of him than I am. He has worked harder than I've ever seen him work at anything before. Long long days, starting at 5am and not ending until around 10pm. Constant studying and having very little free time. Test after test after test. Days out in the field. All while also taking great care of an ever growing pregnant wife. He really is my very own hero and I realize that more and more every day.
The ceremony yesterday was perfect. Only lasted an hour and had plenty to keep my self-diagnosed ADD self occupied. The speaker (a COL from Fort Hood, I believe) was entertaining and even got a few laughs out of everyone. All the graduates got up on stage and said their names and where they were headed instead of someone just calling their name and handing them a diploma. And that was pretty much it. They sang the Army song afterwards and it was on to picture time!

Here he is, in all his glory, excepting his diploma.

We are here for another 2ish weeks before we move on for his AOT training. Then it's on to the real Army - finally. He's a little nervous just because he has no clue what to expect, but I have so much faith in him. I think he's going to be wonderful at his job - whatever that may be.

Afterwards we went to dinner with 2 other couples that we have gotten to be incredibly close with. One of them left this morning for their new post, so it was a last night out together type of thing. I thought I had my emotions under control, but was quickly proven wrong when Trey and I got ready to leave. The waterworks were in full force. It's funny how quickly us Army families form a bond with one another. I guess we know that our time together is never indefinate so you don't waste any time in getting to know each other. All I know is that this couple filled so much of my heart in just a quick 3 months and they will be friends for life. It truly is more of a family than friendships. I know they will do great at their new post and I can't wait to hear about what the next few years brings their way!
I'm going to be on a blogging hiatus for a little while. The next month of my life is going to be CRAZY! I'm leaving tomorrow for a visit home for a little over a week. I'm so so excited to see everyone - especially my family. I'm going to soak up every moment I can with my parents and even some extended family flying in from Massachusetts. My mum, SIL, and MIL are throwing a shower for me on Sunday. I can't wait for that. It really overwhelms me to think about all the people will be there to celebrate Andrew's life. I highly doubt I'll make it through that afternoon without more tears!
We'll be moving three days after I get back from that trip. It'll be a two day drive. A week later, our household goods will arive to *hopefully* our new home. Less than a week from that day I'll be on another plane headed to Massachusetts for a very good friends wedding. Finally, 4 days later I'll be headed back to my husband to celebrate our three year anniversary!! I think around then I'll be ready for a break and exploring our new life in El Paso!

The day before the day before we leave

In case any of you haven't notice ~ I'm just a little excited to go and visit with family and friends! I started getting ready for our trip today and got more done that I planned to. Did bookoos of laundry which was a pain in my arse. Apparently, Wednesday mid-mornings are a very popular time to use the apartment's laundromat! Finally got that done with a little cleaning of the bathroom in between. -this whole house WILL be spotless before we leave, down to fresh, clean sheets. Very important to my sanity to come home to a clean house.- I made my packing list and even got a majority of the packing done (clothing wise at least). I didn't plan to do that until tomorrow.
Trey's CO's are holding fast to the plan that we can't sign out until midnight Friday night. Seriously? You're really going to dismiss him around 2 and then we just have to sit around and look at each other for 10 more hours??? That's precious driving time. I'm still holding out hope that they get a touch of the Christmas spirit and let us leave early. Just in case though, we are staying up as late as our eyes will let us Thursday night and I will sleep as far into the day as possible on Friday. Trey will still have to get up at 5 for PT, but that's good for him. That way he'll come home and if we can't leave, he'll sleep until later in the night. Maybe I'll make some coffee around 9:30 - yes, pm - and maybe we can eat at IHOP before signing out.
Grrrrr while reading over my shoulder, hubs informed me that we absolutely are not leaving before midnight, so operation stay up as late as possible and sleep all day Friday is on. I might as well make the best of the situation - it'll be fun trying to stay up tomorrow night. Pizza and movies it is. Wish. us. luck.

edited to add: my bad! I forgot a little piece of vital information regarding our trip. Hubs leave doesn't actually start until Saturday, hense the reason we can't leave until 12:01. Teehee..

Sorry to bore you with all that, but don't you feel better knowing my sleep schedule for the rest of the week? I may post one more time before we leave, but after that, I'll be on a holiday hiatus we'll call it. I'll be back after the new year with lots more talk and pictures of our trip home. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas with your loved ones!! And if you have a spouse that is deployed during the holidays this year, I hope you are spending it with many friends and other family. Thank you so much for your sacrifices!!

Ohhhh yeah!!! How 'bout that SYTYCD finale??? I am more than in love with Russell. My feelings would not be hurt at all if either him or Katherine win! He has come so far, excels at every single style he attempts, and I just love his personality and heart out there. The only way I will be extremely ticked off is if Ryan or Ashleigh win. Ash isn't that bad, but I really don't see how or why Ryan is still on the show. And the whole "we're so much in love that we cry when we're together and can't stop hugging and kissing in front of the camera thing"? PLEASE don't tell me anyone is dumb enough to fall for that. THEY KNOW IT WILL GET THEM VOTES!!
End Rant. Seriously, each and every one of those dances warmed my heart to no end. My favorites were: Kathryn and Jakob's contemporary ( I admittedly shed a tear or two on that one.. beautiful.. but can't find it on YouTube), Kathryn and Ryan's Samba (she made it.. not him), Russell and Eleanore's Paso Doble, and Russell and Kathryn's hip hop. Now you know I have to show as many videos as possible because I want so badly for you all to be just as enamored as I am :) Aren't you all glad I learned how to post videos??

That hot little Samba I told you about:

Russell and Ashleigh's Lyrical Jazz. He is so so great in this one:

So many other great ones, but those are all I could find... for now.. muaahhahahaha

Another Weekend Recap

Honestly I am in no mood to post something right now, so I probably shouldn't, but for some strange reason feel like I should anyways. Is that bad? I mainly just don't feel like I have much to say. It was a pretty uneventful weekend so I really won't even touch much on it. I'll just say a little something about my favorite part of the weekend:
Dinner Friday night with my friends Chris & Julianne at the best little Mexican restaurant around here. I had chicken fajita nachos. YUM!! I always really enjoy myself with them, but I did even more so this weekend. We've been very close for years now (I met them when I met Trey have been inseparable ever since). Julianne and I, especially, have been BFF's since day 1. We can go to each other with everything and sit and talk for hours. Lately, I feel like life's little day-to-day hassles (you know like her being pregnant... me handling life on my own) have gotten in the way of that and we haven't had much time for "us" time. But Friday was great! We sat outside and talked for a long time and it was extremely refreshing to me... much needed! She is definitely one that I'll have a hard time being away from. *Hi Julz.. I know you're reading this. Hope that wasn't very awkward for you to read. You have your own little shot out.. hope you like*
Saturday I got a TON of errands done... Babies R Us for the above mentioned pregnant girl, Barnes & Noble to grab "dog training for dummies" (yes, I will actually read this), Dillard's to return ugly green caterpillar dress, Rita's to pick up a refreshing italian ice, then to my parents house to spend some QT with the fam. I got to talk to my grandmother while I was over there so that was great. Mum talked to her first and whenever she gave me the phone, the first thing my gma said was, "your mother asks too many damn questions. I had to get off the phone with her". Ha! Gotta love that woman! She sounded okay. Just very tired. She's in the nursing home now and she hopes to start some PT on Monday. She's been laying around for 10 days and really wants to get moving. She said she just hopes her body cooperates with her mind. I'll see her in 5 days and I cannot wait!!

Oh yeah, btw, I'm leaving for Massachusetts Thursday, coming home Sunday night, driving to Columbus Monday, coming home WITH MY HUSBAND!!!!! Thursday. So I may be will be MIA for awhile. I hope you still all love me dearly when I get back! Don't forget about me :)

That's all for now. You got one more thrilling day's description than I said I was going to do. Off to watch Army Wives (love love love)

A Little of This and a Little of That

Is something wrong if I think I've neglected my blog just bc I skip a day of posting something?? I think so! This will be short *I think* because I'm so so tired right now.

I'm going to be MIA for the rest of the week probably. I know, I know, try to compose yourselves. It won't be too bad and the week will just fly by for you. Before you know it I'll be back, posting about how my week was, chillin with two of my cousins that are flying down here from Mass tomorrow. Good times will be had and I know I'll neglect this little blog o' mine. When I do come back though, I just may have a new name :) I don't think that effects anyone that follows me does it??

I cannot wrap my brain around the fact that it is mid June. Where has this year gone. I remember Trey leaving for Basic and thinking I was just going to die right then and there and that I would never make it on my own. Now look at us. We've made it through Basic and he's about 1/2 way with OCS. I wouldn't say it's been all smooth sailing by a long shot, but I have proven to myself that I'm stronger and more capable then I thought I was. Please remind me of this when I have to move to a big, strange, scary place without my mom and dad for the first time. Ha!

Speaking of the hubs, he seems to be doing pretty good down there in GA. He's doing great on his tests that he takes for classes (so far all in the 90's), is doing fairly well with his PT ( I think he's doing a really good job, but he's comparing himself to other people that are doing better so ya know.. ), and he is, for once in his life, actually very very happy with himself. And that came out of his mouth. For that reason alone, I wish we would have done this a long time ago. I shouldn't have fought it for so long.

If I don't remember to go to the store and get more Zyrtec D asap, I'll be posting again this week after all since I'll have a full blown sinus infection and won't be able to enjoy anyone's* company anyways. I swear I take that stuff year round! Maybe my allergies won't bother me so bad in

16 days until I get to see my little muffin .... fo' 4 straight days <3

*spell check (God love it) is telling me this should be written out as any one's. I don't believe it so I'm keeping it as one word
