Tomorrow my husband and I celebrate 5 years of marriage! In October, it will be 10 years of togetherness, but tomorrow is the day we said I do, 5 years ago!
Here we are 5 years ago at the ripe age of 24 (and 25..him.. old fart):
And here we are now:
We've been through so much together and have come such a long way. Never, ever when I said, "I do", did I imagine that this would be our life. We bought a house together and sold it. He joined the Army and I drove 18 hours by myself to go live with him. We moved to Oklahoma and then to Texas. We learned how to live life on our own. Just the two of us. And we thrived. Our relationship became stronger than ever. That will happen when you only have each other to depend on. Then our love brought the most amazing little boy into this world:
He is the best thing that could have ever come into our lives. He made our family even brighter and happier.
After leaning on each other through our miscarriage, we realized we make each other stronger. I'm a better person with Trey by my side.
And what better time than our anniversary, while celebrating the love that we share, to announce that we are expecting again*! Do you like how I just threw that in there? Not what you were expecting to read, huh? We are thrilled and so very excited at the thought of growing our family even more so.
So tomorrow night, we'll be going out to dinner to celebrate us. To celebrate all of the ups we've shared together and the downs that have made us even stronger. Happy 5 years, babe! I love that man more than I have the words to express.
*I hope I didn't knock you out of your seat with that announcement. I realize I just did a whole woe is me post about not getting pregnant and how out of whack by body was. Turns out I am! No wonder my body was crazy. Also, I may be crazy for letting the whole world know this early ( I actually have no clue how far along I am), but I would be out and open with it if anything does happen. We need all of the prayers we can get for a healthy pregnancy, so if you think of it, please pray for us! I have a good feeling about this, so we're celebrating and acting as if there is no threat... all while taking it as easy as possible of course. Plus, I had to find a way to tell people before my sweet mother told the world for me :)

Random thoughts
Most importantly, I'm really late in giving the final update on my dad. Let's just say.. he took the really scary and expensive route of getting a check-up. They did the catheter and found no damage or blockage. After that.. they didn't really know what to do with him and released him. He went to his long time, trusted family doctor on Tuesday and was told that the first diagnosis (before all of this heart crap) was correct. Vertigo. While we are EXTREMELY thankful that his heart is in tiptop shape, that was a little much!
I just saw that someone was led to my blog by searching for "13 weeks pregnant fat belly at bottom". Really? Awesome. Way to remind me that my belly is stretched beyond recognition and jiggles like a bowl full of jelly. I hope you found what you were looking for.
My husband and I celebrated our 4th anniversary this week :)
He spoiled me like never before. Thanks to him I will be enjoying a 4.5 hour day at the spa next week and sporting a new Welker jersey come football season. He also took a week of leave from work. We also dropped Drew off with a trusted couple we are great friends with here last night and had an adult dinner that did not include a highchair, baby food, picking toys up off the floor or diaper changes. The weather was gorgeous and we were able to drive with the windows down. Went to Starbucks then enjoyed a movie. At the movie theater. I can't tell you the last time I've been to a movie theater. It was an amazing night spent with my best friend. While we both did talk about that sweet boy of ours from time to time and it was wonderful to have a night just to ourselves (first one in 9 months that didn't have anything to do with work), we wouldn't trade him in for the world. One night was nice. We like having him around too much to do more than that :)
Remember to come back Monday morning for our Weight Watchers post. The topic this week will be, what motivates you? It can be anything and I can wait to hear from everybody!

At a loss!
It's our 4 year anniversary on Thursday.
My husband is horrid at surprising me. Don't get me wrong he has spoiled me this year, big time, but he's very very bad at actually making anything a surprise.
With that being said... I have nothing for him. Zilch. Nada. I've been waiting for a creative idea to hit me and with 2 days left.. that idea I've been waiting for hasn't even tapped me on the shoulder.
Ideas? (is it pathetic that I'm coming to blogger for this? I think so, but it didn't stop me from doing it, clearly)

3 Years
Yesterday was Trey and I's 3 year wedding anniversary. We have actually been together for just about 8 years now.
We had a very quite day celebrating together. In true "us" fashion, we didn't get crazy with it. I wrote him a long letter, letting him know just how much I love him and re-promising our vows. I feel like we've come such a long way in just the past 3 years that I wanted to take the time on this special day to recommit to each other. To make sure he knows that no matter what we've been through and no matter what may come our way, that I still think the world of him. That I still love him to a million tiny pieces. That I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.
We never have celebrated with elaborate presents or outings, he does little things that speak so much louder to me. We slept in and after a lazy morning we went to Target where he bought me curtains for the living room and yet another fan because he can't stand to see how miserable I get in this heat. After that we mosied on over to Chick-fil-a to turn in our coupon for a free spicy chicken sandwich.. delish! They cheered loudly for us when we ordered and even got our picture taken with the cow ;)
For dinner we went to the Olive Garden where I enjoyed a simple bowl of linguine alla marinara and he got the grill plate. His looked at tasted marvelous! I know what I'm getting next time! Then we came home and flipped channels between SYTYCD, the final Alabama baseball game (where they sadly lost), and the first of the Celtics/Lakers games (where the Celtics thankfully won).
And that seriously wraps up our anniversary day. Not much to share and very simple and laid back... I wouldn't have it any other way!

June?!?
The 1st of June comes with a few different realizations for me.
1. Seriously?! It's really June already? The month of May flew by for me... I'm not really sure if I really even participated in May, or did it just skip from April to June for me?
2. Hubs and I keep talking about this human growing in me like it's a far off, pretend concept. As I was peeing for the 3rd time in a 1/2 hour today, it suddenly hit me that he will be here.. like soon. Like in possible 12ish weeks soon. Holy crap! I have a lot to do. WE have a lot to do!
3. My busy period is over.. for now. That is until the above mentioned child decides to enter into this world. Which means.. I should be back to my blogging away self. Everybody all together now - "yyaaaayyyyy!! Woohoooooo! Oh Em Geeee we've missed you" *all while jumping up and down and clapping*
Awww thanks guys... I've really missed you too. I seriously skimmed over the last 500 some odd blogs you've all written, so hopefully I have a free pass for a while if I've missed anything important. I'll catch up soon.
I just got back from a short little trip to Massachusetts for my long long time friend's wedding. Really.. it was a little emotional watching the girl I used to take baths with say "I do" to the best man out there for her. She was absolutely the most beautiful bride I've ever seen!

Now, I'm back in El Paso with my hubby and enjoying a few more days of free time before his 10 days are up and it's back to reality. We'll be doing a lot of relaxing and going a few different places we want to see here and there. Tomorrow will involve calling our landlord. I know that I still don't fully understand the whole Swamp Cooler concept, but seriously, somethings gotta be wrong. I know it's hot down here, but I'm pretty sure I'm living in cruel and unusual living conditions. I'm sweating from every orifice of my body and it's not pretty. Makes for a very cranky 27 week pregnant woman.
Tomorrow is also our 3 year anniversary!!

The bride at her rehearsal... so pretty!!
In her beautiful dress dancing with my cousin
When the bridal party was announced into the reception, we all came in to different songs and acts to play out. I'm pretty sure ours was the best. He's a huge hulk fan... I've never seen him wrestle a day in my life. He quickly showed me what to do and we were champs out there. Here I am in the shirt he made for me. If only I had it on video.. it was pretty classic.
It ended with us ripping those shirts off and throwing them out to the crowd. They loved it.

I Forgot My Anniversary!!
Thanks for all of your input on that email I received the other day! I've decided not to go with it. I'm not totally convinced it's a scam (I took Becca's advice and googled the email address - nothing negative came up, in fact a lot of other bloggers have heard from her and have taken her up on her offer - who's to say nothing happened with them though), but basically it comes down to me not wanting to take the risk. Not worth it. I didn't make this blog in order to make any money off it... not that I'd complain if I did.. but it's not my goal. Problem solved ~ moving on ~
I realized - almost a month too late - that I've been blogging for a year now! I really can't believe that. When I started this, I never knew it would become this much a part of my life. I've said this before, but I am extremely thankful for the friends I've met over this. Y'all got me through one of the toughest parts of my life that I've had to experience so far. This kept me sane and all of you kept me happy, grounded, and in the know when it comes to everything Army. It thrills me to think about where we'll get stationed next.. chances are it could very well be near any of you! I'm keeping my fingers crossed at least. We'll be moving again before you know it!
Major success story of the week:
Hubs and I were at Starbucks last night (for the my 3rd time this week..) when I spotted her. The one girl I've been looking for since I got here. You know... the one with the fabulous haircut. I walk up to her immediately andbeg kindly ask where she gets her hair done. "Oh", she says, "I work at so and so. Right down the street". She's a hairdresser!! She gave me her card with a promise of $5 off on it. I know a good cut when I see one!! I'll be making my appointment shortly. I pray they wax eyebrows as well bc these monsters ARE NOT looking so hot!

Happy Anniversary!!
2 years ago today I made the best decision I ever made in my life. I remember walking down that aisle like it was yesterday and saying "I do" to my favorite person in the entire world.
Not many people meet the person they are going to spend the rest of their lives with at 19. I thank God every day that I did. You'd never know it by my posts or listening to me talk "in real life", but I do have a lot of trouble putting my thoughts into words. Especially when it comes to the serious or not so light hearted stuff. *Just this so far has taken me about 20 minutes to write* I could take the easy road and just end this here and let the pictures talk for themselves, but if he ever does decide one day to start reading this, I know it would make his day.
I feel like I'm the luckiest person alive to be his wife.
Sometimes I catch him looking at me, and it overwhelms me to see the amount of love he has for me. He would walk to the ends of the earth for me.
I love how much we laugh together.
I love that I can tell him anything that is on my mind and he'll listen to me.
I love the way he makes me feel with just one simple touch.
I'm so so so proud of him for so many reasons. The biggest reason being what he is doing with his life right now. He's not only doing this because he wanted to do something meaningful, but he also knew it was a way to provide for me and our future family. That says so much to me.
I love that I love him more today than I did on our wedding day. I hope that trend continues for the rest of our lives.
I feel like this does NOTHING to express the way I feel right now. But it's all I can come up with. I miss him more than ever today, but I know we'll see each other soon. And I know he's thinking about me too and wishing he was with me... so says the bouquet of flowers he had delivered to me at work today :)
I leave you with a few of my favorite pictures from our wedding day. I'm off to celebrate with a couple glasses of wine and my DVR.. the three of us are going to have a great night together!
My mom fixing my vail
Me and my dad right before we're about to walk down... look at that face! Not sure if it's fear or excitement!
First Kiss of many many more!

Off to Cancun!!! *yes, that's my grandmother hooked up to her oxygen tank with a sparkler in her hand.. not sure who let her do that, but I'm glad we all lived*
